Close that tab!š” X_X
Last week Shais was looking for a recipe for a meaty dish. She realised she didnāt have one of the herbs to make it perfect. She decided- Iāll make it later- and kept the Chrome tab open. A week later, the tab was still there, forgotten.Ā
Other tabs open are about the solar eclipse that wasnāt visible in India, a smartphone setting to increase privacy, steps on cleaning a table fan, and directions to a restaurant that we had already visited. Scroll back a bit and youāll see about 36 tabs on some other research that had to be done.Ā
The tabs just sat there, waiting, like those old magazines in a raddi shop, that may never be dusted and read. Just forming a fort-like structure with patterns forming here and there.Ā
What if the Chrome tabs formed a structure of their own? What if it became the home of a digital hoarder, with its own characters, doing their own thing? What if at 3 am, they would all come together and create a story of their own?
Based on my current tabs, Iām imagining Marcus Aurelius shopping for co-ords with Tina Fey while discussing AI cat pictures.Ā
So hereās something to try this weekend: Close all the tabs on your Chrome. Hear your phone/computer breathe a sigh of RAM relief.Ā
Letās be brave and hit that small x. Happy tab closing!Ā
